Derick has been with Sercombe Veterinary Surgeons since its early days. He graduated from Kenya University in 1997 as Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and joined the practice as an intern, got his full qualification as a Veterinary Surgeon and has remained with the practice ever since.

In his spare time, Derick likes listening to music and spending time with his wife and two sons.
