Lesley, best known in Kenya and beyond as record-breaking champion jockey, qualified from University of Nairobi as Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) in 2020 and is now doing her internship at Sercombe Veterinary Surgeons. With her long experience as jockey and Assistant Trainer, Veterinary Medicine has been a natural next step in her career. She still trains the Sercombe Racing Stables horses every day, does her own training to keep fit and keeps winning races. Besides working with animals, Lesley loves hiking, mountain-biking, travel and reading good fiction.
